In a time that every where you looked on Tv, Movies and Music, You would hear words that by today's standards are totally offensive. I remember listening to many Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, George Carlin and Eddie Murphy albums growing up. The Use of the so called "n"- word was overwhelming. Catch phrases and slang was used for shock value. So, to single out Paula Deen for something 27 years ago was totally in poor taste. You would have to fire every single person that lived in those times.

So here is the truth as I see it:
Paula Deen was fired because they wanted to get out of their contracts, Just like any Tv show or movie sequel. When the star is making to much money; time to replace them for the next cheaper personality. They seen possible controversy, and what better way to get rid of her than hype it up to something it is not. Grey's anatomy did it to Isiah Washington, why not Paula too. Typical big business, watch what I'm doing with my left hand, as my right hand doing something else.
